LIE #1: “Israel has to exist in order to keep Jews safe.”

It’s kind of a laughable concept at this point. Not only are Jews around the world less safe now that we all plainly see Israel’s terrorism across the globe, and its insistence on tying the religion of Judaism to its state-run sadism. But even its own soldiers are not able to bear the burden of what they are being asked to do. Today, Haaretz reports “22 Israeli Soldiers Died by Suicide in 2025, the Highest Number in 15 Years.” The men and women of Israel have blown up civilians, shot children in the head, run over Palestinians with tanks, buried people alive, left premature babies to die in incubators, the terrifying list goes on and on and includes the direction to kill their own people on October 7th.

Avigail Abarbanel is a BACP Snr Accredited psychotherapist who grew up in Israel but left at the age of 27 and renounced her citizenship. In one of her Substack posts from last year (linked below), she writes: “The Israeli cult thinks that it will have peace when it gets rid of all the Palestinians, but in cults there can never be a sense of safety, or peace. A perpetual foreboding, a feeling of imminent danger, threat, urgency and emergency are the lifeblood of cults. They do not know how else to live. It is unsustainable, which is why some cults have ended up committing group suicide. Israeli society is in the process of imploding, because humans cannot live like this forever. But there is no telling how long this could take, and how much harm Israel will continue to cause along the way.”

So no, Israel is not a safe place for Jews. And Israel’s existence on this earth does not ensure Jewish safety. But a generation of Jews traumatized by the Nazi holocaust were sadistically manipulated into believing some very real and destructive propaganda. And they set up a system to pass it along to future generations, now equally traumatized and living their lives in fear. I see no way out of this violence until the propaganda is destroyed, bit by bit. However long it takes.

Mamdani, and all the incredibly talented people working on his campaign, have electrified the people of New York City and you can feel the vibrations in the air here. He is out and about on every street and in every borough canvassing and meeting everyone so there are selfies and videos of him everywhere. In all of them, he is smiling and laughing and having fun with THE PEOPLE. He is shaking their hands and hugging THE PEOPLE. We literally cannot believe what we are seeing. And we cannot believe out luck.

Mamdani is not out there calling people names or campaigning on fear or telling us how horrible our lives would be under Cuomo. (I mean, why state the obvious). He is, instead, leading with authenticity and love for the city and love for the people IN the city. He is leading with ideas about how to make things better for the hard-working people of this city. (He is what Obama was before Obama became a Wall Street, establishment sell-out). His youth (he is 33) is a breath of fresh air, not the liability that his opponents were hoping it would be. It’s so nice to have a candidate who hasn’t spent the past 30 years slapping the asses of female co-workers and seeing what kind of disgusting lechery his seat in power will let him get away with.

And it’s refreshing to finally have a candidate with the energy to go out and meet THE PEOPLE, talk to them, dance with them, strike with them, rap with them, get to know them, and understand them. His campaign centers the working class, which is EXACTLY who should be centered. The 1% and the millionaires here are fine and will always be fine and they don’t need anyone fighting for them. No one needs to center these people. (I should know, I am one of them).

There are people (in this city and beyond, but mostly in this city) who were raised, taught, and schooled that to get ahead and to be successful, you have to take advantage of other people. You have to either step on them, steal from them, nickel and dime them, rape them (literally and figuratively), bribe them, blackmail them, scare them, threaten them or all of above. That to be rich you have to make others poor. That there is no upside (no money to be made, fame to be had, women to screw) to doing good things for others. And that if you do good things for others, with no discernible upside for yourself, there’s either something cognitively wrong with you or you, like them, must have suspicious ulterior motives.

But this is not who Mamdani is and that’s why they don’t understand him. It’s why they say they can’t trust him. Because in their world, no one actually cares about THE PEOPLE. You’re just supposed to pretend that you do (like the Democrats) or you don’t even bother to pretend (like the Republicans). You’re not actually supposed to go on a hunger strike with the taxi drivers. No self-respecting politician gets his hands dirty, or stoops to the level of THE PEOPLE. Who does that??!!

Mamdani does, that’s who.

And guess what, Dems, this is who THE PEOPLE want to start electing into office. This is who we are GOING to elect. We are sick and tired of all the phony Obamas and Bidens and Clintons and Kamalas you keep offering us. We see through them. You lied when you told us they cared about THE PEOPLE. These fakes were all too happy to throw THE PEOPLE under the bus. And they ALL sold us down the river for ISRAEL. If Kamala had had the brains and spine to do what Mamdani is doing, if she had been able to distance herself from Israel and return the blood money from her wealthy Zionist donors, she would have won the election and spared us all the living hell we’re in right now. But a hollow zombie puppet can only be expected to do so much, right?

In fact, what this moment is so obviously signaling to anyone who is willing to pay attention, is that we want leaders who are NOT owned by a foreign government or large corporations or mega donor billionaires with creepy masochistic AI agendas. We want leaders who can work for US, the people, human beings with beating hearts. WE, the people, the ones who built this country and make it run. We want leaders who embrace multi-ethnic and multi-religious communities because that’s when we all thrive - by learning from each other and being inspired by each other. We are sick of hating each other and beating each other up over stupid culture wars. We want leaders who actually value us, and this country, AND the planet we live on. Leaders who will do everything they can to avoid war, dropping bombs, and spilling blood. I mean really, is that too much to ask??

These used to be the values the Democratic party stood for. Before each and every member sold their soul to Israel, took its blood money, and were either muzzled or blackmailed for the ruthless Zionist agenda, one that currently runs every system in this country – our media, our universities, the schoolbooks and curriculum in our public school system, and all three branches of our federal government.

Which is why THIS MAYORAL RACE is so huge and pivotal and a screaming wake up call. Because despite billionaires throwing millions into beating him, discrediting him, trying to tie him to 9/11 (when he was a nine-year old), race-baiting and painting him as a terrorist, Mamdani’s campaign and his supporters have risen above and defied the odds. Even in the face of the most disgusting barrage of racism and anti-Islamic rhetoric, shared and reshared by people you know, people you thought were decent human beings or who at the very least should know to keep their racism to themselves, at home, hidden in a dark corner where it belongs.

Thank god people are finally seeing through all the bullshit. I guess two solid years of watching Israel’s daily crime-ing on your smartphone was all it took. We’re finally at the point where none of the old tricks work anymore. The “antisemite” card has been so overplayed, overused and abused, that it is completely un-useable. You can only call people, including Jews, fighting for human rights ‘antisemitic’ so many times before the world starts to look at you like you’re a sad 90-year-old with dementia. And you can only threaten people with their livelihood so many times before the rest of the people get angry and decide to rise up against you. You can only assassinate so many people in broad daylight before the entire internet discovers that you’re the one behind it and you’ve always been behind it.

WE THE PEOPLE OF NEW YORK are lucky. We are lucky that this man was here and poised and ready to rise up at the right time. We are lucky that he was willing to put himself on the line and take all the racist abuse and lies for the sake of saving us, the people of New York City, from another 4 to 8 years of nepo hell. We are lucky that we have been able to unite (white, black, brown, immigrant, citizen, rich, poor, Jewish, Christian, Muslim, atheist, Hindu, Buddhist, gay, straight, Bi, Trans, Queer, and all of the other identities that make up this city) in solidarity.

Do yourself a favor - take your blinders off and peer into the future. Follow Mamdani on Facebook and Instagram and go into the comment section of his posts and reels. Check out what THE PEOPLE are saying but also, check out where the people are FROM. They are not all from New York City. They are from every city, every state, every country. And they are rooting for him. They wish they could vote for him. They want someone like him to rise up where they live and run for office.

My message to the party I used to love is this - Mamdani embodies the future that we want. And if you can’t see this, or won’t see this, or are too afraid to see this, or if you’ve been bribed not to see it, that tells us all we need to know: we cannot trust you with our future. So we will have to rise up and do it ourselves. We outnumber you and we’re a lot smarter than you. May I also suggest that you all fly to Israel and search for your stolen souls. You will most likely find them hidden somewhere in an IDF tunnel under an apartment building in Tel Aviv. The rest of us, those with our souls still in tact and our eyes wide open, will take care of things here at home. And we’ll start by electing Zohran Mamdani. Don’t worry. We got this.

Well, it came as no surprise to me that all of those kids turned into adults who wear crosses around their necks and put bible quotes in their bios, but they have NO idea how to be a good person or how to help others in need (unless they get paid to do it). Religion for them is strictly performative. It’s also an easy way to be accepted by their white, secretly-or-not-so-secretly-racist community, parents, and grandparents. It’s a way to be crafty and pretty and blond and Instagramable and have friends who do the same. It’s a way to be vapid and lazy and completely devoid of anything Jesus Christ actually stood for.

So if I’m an “activist” because I put into practice all the things Jesus Christ did when he was alive (but I don’t believe in all of the fucking fairytales that were told about him after he died), what does that make someone who does NOT consider themselves an “activist?” What are you called when you are a spoiled, entitled, narrow-minded white girl who just can’t be bothered to acknowledge the role you are currently playing in other people’s suffering? Zombie? Asshole? Cunt? All of the above and all strung together at once? (And if you’re just now reading my posts, I’ll fill you in quick: I left nice behind a long time ago because I don’t believe in responding to racist Zionists and their supporters and enablers with nice. At any rate, I have to rid my life of those people because they make me vomit and because I have to make room for all of the veritable, bona fide, genuine, actual human beings I meet during my “activism.” I want to surround myself with the people who can’t stomach sitting quietly on their ass while humanity drowns itself in its own feces.

Among these human beings is a group of new BFFs that is a generation older than me. Bless their hearts, they still believe Democracy exists here in this country, and they still believe in calling their Representatives and writing them letters.

Once I’m done with this post, I’ll be adding my two cents to Riley’s Facebook post. Because while I don’t believe that Democracy currently exists in this country, I do believe in the idea of it. And if a congressman is not representing the will of his constituents, he needs to be held accountable.

This weekend, we will all be at a local book reading to meet and listen to a Palestinian author. In a few weeks, I will host a fundraiser in my home for HEAL Palestine. And over the next year or so, our little group will be doing what we can to get Josh Riley out of office and perhaps, if the times are indeed a changin’, we’ll be able to find an “activist” to run for his seat. We’ll also, each of us individually, continue to call attention to a Holocaust that we are paying for with our tax dollars. To see if we can bring it to an end before an entire people is erased from existence. You might call it “being political.” I call it being a decent human being. And since there are so very few of us left, I think I’ll keep at it for a bit.

Given the current election in District 3 of NYC, it must be noted that this Zionist is on the ballot for re-election for the Community Education Council. Let’s please not be fooled by her blond hair and airbrushed photograph. Everything about this woman is dangerous as well as fake. (Is she semitic or Norwegian? Neither? Oh, ok. Sorry, it’s confusing.)

In this election flyer on public her Facebook page, Denbo points out that she has authored key resolutions that “confront antisemitism in schools.” Given the current “Repression Regime” in this country (deporting students, raiding homes, and disappearing people off the street for speech against Israel), what exactly is Denbo’s definition of antisemitism?

Graffiti against Israel? Well, this is vandalism, yes. And I can see how someone who supports Israel could be upset by the words. But unfortunately for Denbo this does not meet the actual definition of antisemitism. This is antizionism. And if you don’t belong to the cult, you know the difference.

An antizionist opposes the actions of a Zionist state, in this case Israel, and in this case, a holocaust against the Palestinian people. Antisemitism is hate speech against an individual for their religion or ethnicity. The graffiti at Effy’s Cafe (an Israeli cafe that was shut down in 2023 for wage theft - classic!) is graffiti against a state.

Denbo and other Zionists like to include activities that support the human rights of Palestinians into their yearly tallies for “acts of antisemitism.” It really helps get those numbers up! They are also actively trying to get laws passed to force those activities into the definition. So when Gothamist posted that yet “another Columbia student (was) detained by feds for pro-Palestinian activism” on their Facebook page":

Free speech? No, Denbo is not a fan. She would like free speech to be very limited if you’re going to reveal truths about her Disneyland in the Middle East thank you very much.

But there are plenty of antizionist Jews in this city who know that her accusations are attempts to silence pro-Palestinian voices and those speaking out against Israel’s ongoing genocide. Recently, New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) included a link to a toolkit calling for the end of the genocide in Gaza where over 20,000 children have been murdered by Israel and the United States. When Denbo threatened Chancellor Melissa Aviles-Ramos, the Chancellor caved, issued an apology, and took down the link. To which antizionist parents and employees replied:

Denbo claims she is “committed to every student.” But I call bullshit. (When you’re a Palestinian, you can smell Zionist bullshit a mile away). When her group “Parents Against Antisemitism” held a program called “A Guide to Navigating Antisemitism in NYC Public Schools” it included a segment (lower left hand corner) that made my jaw drop. Now, I live in New York City among plenty of self-absorbed narcissists, but this is beyond:

No, those kids are not alright, you dumb bitch!! If they even make it through Israel’s holocaust they will be forever traumatized. They will be in therapy for the rest of their lives. How can you even ask….

Oh, wait! You weren’t asking about those kids? Those brown kids with the ugh, brown hair and ugh, brown skin? (Bleach that shit, babe!) No, something tells me you don’t give a shit about those kids. Something tells me the kids you’re really and only worried about are the Jewish ones, the ones who live safely in doorman buildings here in NYC and take Ubers to school. Well, those kids limbs have not been torn off, their families are all complete. They aren’t outside begging for food instead of attending school. There’s plenty of food in their fridge and fresh, clean water at their tap because it hasn’t been stolen by their occupier. So I’m pretty sure those kids are going to be fine. (Ok, aside from the adulthood psychosis they will have to sort through when they discover you’ve been lying to them their whole lives, but let’s leave that for another day).

No, Denbo is here for Israel, not every student. And her plan is actually neatly laid out on her website “Parents Against Antisemitism” (I’d really like to meet the parents who are for antisemitism, wouldn’t you?) In her “Guide to Navigating Antisemitism” she tells parents to be vigilantly on the lookout for it, but also has a very difficult time pinpointing what it is. Anyway, her plan is: 1) Get on the community council 2) Push through the Zionist agenda. DEMAND that anti-Israel speech is equated with antisemitism, clarify for everyone that free speech regarding Palestinians and their human rights are not allowed in schools, by students or teachers. Discipline those who demand those human rights. Deport them if necessary. Punish teachers and school officials for pointing out that Israel kills Palestinian children. Make sure no one hinders Israel’s ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people, the Lebanese people, the Syrian people, or whoever they set their sights once Gaza is completely destroyed. Categorize curriculum about Palestinian history as “opinion” not fact.

Israel does indeed have its useful idiots here on American soil. And right now, one of them is up for re-election in New York City’s District 3.

The people of Gaza need a reason to HOPE, the children need something to be happy about, everyone needs rest, they need to sleep, soundly, without waking up in the middle of the night to bombs that kill their children. Without having to rush to dig their neighbors out from under concrete rubble. They need to stop fleeing from one unsafe place to another. They need aid, food, water, medicine.

I want all of these things for them and more.

But I do not think for one second that Israel will be able to abide by ANY agreement it may have made this week. It is entirely against its sadistic and Jewish-supremacist nature to be able to make concessions or do anything it doesn’t want to do.

If Israel was able to do this, it would have made peace with the Palestinians long ago and October 7th would have been just another day. But as the world has witnessed over the past 15 months, Israel whole-heartedly believes in Jewish Supremacy. They are supreme above Palestinians, above Arabs, above the United States, above every country, every religion, every group of people on this planet. Agreements are games to them. For Israel (and for the United States!), rules that we all adhere to for the sake of humanity, for the sake of living together on this planet in peace - those concepts are for pussies.

It is maddening to read the 20-year letter correspondence between Israel and my grandfather over the land and property he lost in 1948. In them, you can see Israel playing with him, raising and then dashing his hopes that he might one day receive something in exchange for all that he had and all that he lost. It was as though entire offices in Israel were set up for men to “play pretend,” to act like they were legitimate. My grandfather was well-aware of what was happening, he wasn’t a fool, but he held out hope just in case “right of return” laws were ever upheld by any entity with the power to do so.

Israel is playing all of us. Today we heard about a “ceasefire” deal but I am not optimistic. Israel will continue to kill Palestinians, brutally and gleefully. Now that the entire world is watching, they might choose to do it covertly. Or perhaps they will test the waters, drop one more bomb on a tent city, behead a baby, and call it an accident. When there is no consequence, they will go back to being brazen and congratulate themselves for the fact that no one anywhere in any country under any circumstance will ever hold them accountable for their lies, deceit, crimes against Palestinians, crimes against humanity, and crimes against the planet. So, comrades, it will STILL be incumbent upon the decent people of the world to boycott, divest, and sanction the terrorist state of Israel. Until it’s gone.

Dear SUNY Sullivan Board of Trustees and the SUNY Sullivan Foundation Board of Directors

You didn’t get to know me very well. And since no one from either Board, other than Jose, reached out to me at all following your receipt of a social media post that I made on my personal Facebook page, I would like to give you a little background and context to my post. The post was screenshot by a man in our community named Bill Liblick who, you may or may not know, is notorious in political circles in Sullivan County for being a manipulator who plays both sides of the system and stirs up controversy seemingly for his own enjoyment. When he reposted my words to a Facebook group that he moderates, he blocked me from being able to comment, from being able to add to the conversation, defend myself or add context. This is the environment that this post came to you from - a place where Bill dropped blood into the waters and waited for the sharks to circle.

This is Bill’s second or third attempt to scare me into silence because he doesn’t like that I am publicly pro-Palestinian. He would also like to distract our community from the genocide that’s happening in Gaza. He would like the conversation instead to be about words and hurt feelings rather than about the brutal atrocities currently taking place at the hands of Israel.

The screenshot that was disseminated and passed around social media that then made its way to you, was NOT accompanied with the photo that I posted alongside my words. For the official record, I am including that photo here.

I don’t know how many board members have, like me, been bearing witness to this genocide since October of 2023. But as a Palestinian, I feel this is my duty. I cannot sit in ignorance nor in silence. So I view everything every day and I share.

Since I did not have the chance to meet any of the members of the Board of Directors for the College, I wanted you to know my background: I am Palestinian on my father’s side. I have friends and family in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. My father was born in Haifa where the Seikaly family had been living for 300 years. My grandfather owned a number of businesses and properties in Haifa and in 1948, when my father was 2 years old, and when the Zionists decided to launch their terrorist raid on the region, all of the Seikalys were forced to flee to different parts of the world.

For the past year, I have been doing what I can in my small corner of the world to bring awareness to the Palestinian struggle and also to try to humanize Palestinians in a community where most people don’t know any Palestinians and where many people have been brainwashed from birth to see us as “human animals,” a phrase I still hear people utter. (Apparently it’s completely acceptable to call Palestinians “human animals” here in the United States. I haven’t heard of anyone losing a board seat or Congressional seat for doing so). 

I have been hosting Palestinian events at my businesses and helping to organize others in other locations around Sullivan County: dinners, film screenings, book clubs, talk-backs. I set up a table every Sunday at the Jeffersonville Market this past summer with literature and products from the West Bank for sale, to talk to passers-by about the current crisis and the Palestinian struggle. I sell relevant books on the topic in my bake shop, most of them written by Israelis. I’ve been invited to tell my story on WJFF and Trailer Talk with Sabrina Artel. I spent a Sunday with Jewish Voice for Peace at their Liberation School, taking in lessons from their activism. I stand with my Jewish friend Beverly Sterner and other Jewish activists on the bridge in Narrowsburg at the vigil on Saturday nights in an effort to call attention to the civilian deaths in Gaza that our taxes are paying for.

I do all of this because I feel that information is key and I am all too aware of the disinformation of the past 80 years. For far too long, the Palestinian story has been censored and buried - resulting in the “surprise of October 7th.” October 7th was not a surprise to anyone who had been following the Palestinian struggle since 1948. And if we in the diaspora can be of any help to our people back home, it is to be their voice here in the United States and share their story - finally.

Displaced families in Gaza living in tents are being burned alive by Israeli bombs. Gazans are being starved right now because Israel is not allowing food to cross the border. Children playing soccer amid the rubble that was once their home are being killed by Israeli bombs that we are paying for. And while all of this is happening, I see the social media posts of my rich Jewish friends in New York City hosting fundraisers in their Hamptons homes for the Israeli army, wearing their designer dresses and designer shoes because the photos might end up in the Style Section of the New York Times. 

And this is what I was calling out in the social media post that made its way to you. I composed that post in anger, after a friend of mine shared the image above, after crying uncontrollably at my desk, yet again. Those of us following closely have viewed thousands of images like this. Are we traumatized? Have we lost all faith in our government, and in our collective humanity? Yes. And I utterly fear the prospect of having to bear witness to another 365 days of this indiscriminate and illegal slaughter. October 7th was one day. And it was a horrible day. But it was ONE. On that day, 695 Israeli civilians, 373 security forces, and 71 foreigners were killed. By contrast, tens of thousands of Palestinians have been killed by Israel with bombs that we sent them, millions more are currently starving, displaced from their homes, going without any medical attention and there is no end in sight to what Gabor Mate described yesterday as “another holocaust.”

So on October 9th of this year, I decided to make a public post and speak directly to my Jewish friends who have been completely silent on this issue despite the fact that this is being carried out in their name and therefore they might actually be the only ones who are able to stop it. And I chose a tone that I thought might get their attention. Well guess what? It did. Forgive me, but I spent a year trying to educate my community, trying to get them to see past Israeli propaganda and to spend some time learning about Palestine and Palestinians. And I have tried to be respectful and politically correct and patient with my Jewish friends who I know have a lot of “unlearning” to do. And when she was invited to one of these events, one of the Jewish women living in Jeffersonville said, with utter disdain and supremacy: “And what do you think I should do? Show up at one of your “polite” events? Thanks, I’ll pass.” Because to her, I can only assume, Palestinians are still “human animals.” So I guess racism is still perfectly acceptable in Sullivan County as well.

If this county and this board wants to call my various efforts “antisemitic”, I guess I’m at a point where I’m going to have to be ok with that. I’m not sure that word holds much meaning right now since everything everyone does in the name of ending this genocide is now considered “antisemitic.”  I understand that some people found my words offensive, but I don’t think that makes them any less true. It just makes them words they would rather not hear. And what is more offensive? Me calling my Jewish friends out for being materialistic and supremacist, or burning people alive, over and over again for a year while millions of pro-Palestinians and anti-Zionist Jews take to the streets demanding an arms embargo from our government that ignores us because they have been bought off by certain individuals who are incentivized to keep the violence going?

I hereby resign from the Foundation Board and wish you luck in all your future endeavors.

Oh well, it has to happen. For the safety of all Jews everywhere. In Hoboken. Long Island. Miami Beach. May all Jews stay safe. Safe in your homes with your designer shoes, designer clothing, and weekly trips to the salon to dye your hair and lift your face. You are the most important people on the planet. Your safety trumps everything. May you all be able to live your wealthy lives in safety and privilege here in the United States of Israel and abroad. Where no one will ever be allowed to point out your hypocrisy and keep their job at the same time. Our political parties are here for you to purchase. Our Presidential candidates have chosen you over the rest of humanity. Enjoy the fruits of your labor. May everyone else perish and suffer and be blown up into such tiny pieces that their families have to bury them in a shoebox. Soon, all Arabs will be dead and you will be able to spread across the region. You will not only have your own state, you will have your own continent. And everyone will love and admire you for your remarkable achievements in stealing land and genociding an entire race of people.
